I kind of take issue with this statement. Algorithms and automation aren’t the catalysts to the wealth gap. They’re simply a manifestation of tools the concentrated power hierarchy can use to broaden the wealth gap even further. With a capitalism in a non-meritorious system which is what America is will always produce a wealth gap because only limited populations have access to concentrated wealth. AI, automation just speeds this fundamental flaw of America’s capitalistic system into fruition faster.
